After over 15 years in working in the investment industry, I grew increasingly concerned by the lack of truly independent investment advice. I witnessed firsthand how many investment firms prioritized their own profits over their clients' best interests. Their recommendations were often riddled with hidden fees, opaque incentives, and conflicts of interest that hampered clients' returns. I knew there had to be a better way - the industry desperately needed objective, client-focused advisors. That's why I started my own independent investment consulting practice. My goal was simple: to provide each client with tailored, ethical guidance to help them achieve their financial objectives. I founded my practice to be the reliable, conflict-free advisor that I felt was missing in the industry.

I am a senior Investment Professional and CFA Charterholder with over 15 years of experience managing multi-billion dollars of assets given various objectives, including insurance assets, retirement portfolios (Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution), foundation assets and other benefit plans. I have helped design and implement strategic asset allocation policy using public/private, liquid/illiquid asset classes. I build and implement robust investment programs for non-for-profit organizations. I also run manager research across traditional (Equities and Fixed Income) and alternative strategies (Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Private Credit, Infrastructure and Real Estate mandates).

Prior to 2018, I was a senior investment professional at a health insurance company, where I oversaw and managed the reserve, pension, and foundation investment portfolios of the company and its subsidiaries, which total over $4 billion in assets. Prior to that, I have worked as an Associate in portfolio management at a $1 billion middle market private equity firm specializing investments in Asia. I earned my BA in Finance and Investments from Baruch College. Fluent in Mandarin.

 

Lastly, I am blessed with a loving family that fills my life with boundless joy and meaning. At the heart of it all is my cherished wife, Diana Sun, whose unwavering support and affection fuel my every endeavor. Alongside us is our beloved daughter, Olivia Fu, whose laughter and curiosity illuminate our days. Their love and devotion are the guiding lights that inspire me to strive for greatness each day.
